“The tour was absolutely incredible! It is not so boring with a huge amount of walks, but you visit banch spots per this trip. Very cool tour agenda, including kayaking and swimming. But the true gem of the tour it is the waterfall, since it is a perfect way to refresh. Nuno is a perfect guide, he was take the conversation with all tour members, make a warmups, telling us interesting stories and a bit of history. Very easy and friendly guide, totally recommend it.”

“We had the best time paddle boarding with Henrique. The three people in our group had mixed abilities (one expert and two novices) and he catered to all our individual needs. We were conveniently picked up and dropped off right outside our Airbnb, with Henrique taking the time to drive us a scenic route back afterwards. The paddle boarding location was a beautiful spot on the Douro river, with places to stop and swim every so often. Henrique was a charismatic host who picked us up with a cheerful demeanour and entertained us all along the river; we all had a lot of laughs. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this…”

“Overall the kayaking experience was just great. They allowed us to experience it at our own pace as well as gave us the freedom to choose where and when we wanted to stop along the Douro River. Be prepared that the kayaking could be challenging at times but if you want time experience the Douro River from another perspective and like active leisure activities, it is well worth the effort and 3 hours. We would highly recommend it. The staff were great as well (supportive and easy going).”

“We had so much fun! 4 hours flew past. Alvaro was a great guide - helpful, informative and very kind. We came at the end of the season so the water was slightly lower than it should’ve been, meaning the rapids weren’t too extreme and we did end up getting stuck on the rocks - remember to wiggle and shake to free the canoe! The company provide you with full gear, a bottle of water and a small snack along the way. Being able to swim helps, but even if you can’t, the life jackets provide full support. We stopped at 2 spots where we swam - one of which…”

“We hebben een heel leuke tocht over de Douro gehad! Een van de teamleden vaarde met ons mee voor onze veiligheid en nam veel foto’s en filmpjes. Op het moment dat wij gingen varen waren er best wat golven waardoor we een paar keer onze balans verloren en in het water vielen. Houd hier dus rekening mee door een droog setje kleding mee te nemen! Het teamlid heeft ons heel goed hierbij geholpen en we hebben ons geen moment onveilig gevoeld (je hebt ook een reddingsvest aan). De Douro is ‘s ochtends rustiger, wij waren ‘s middags. Kortom een avontuurlijke, onvergetelijke ervaring!”

From kayaking to the views of geres national park to a lovely local lunch and a hike with a beautiful waterfall and lagoon. This was above and beyond our expectations.
